Countdown

Bugger me. We only went and booked the plane tickets tonight. This is something I thought unlikely to happen, simply because of my involvement in this whole Australian affair. I'm probably the most disorganised person I know, and if it had all been left in my hands I'd still probably be trying to find Australia on a map. As it is, I just thank God that Morgan's here to give me a hand. If I'd gone without him it's very likely that, should I have managed to actually buy tickets, within a week of landing I'd be homeless and giving out "favours" for small change. Not through incompetency you understand, although I'm quite good at that, but more likely purely through my own laziness.

With this in mind, I'm approaching packing, and indeed shopping, for this trip with a sense of trepidation. I know that I should be thinking about what to pack, and which insurance is best and all this other bollocks. But frankly most days I find it enough of a chore to drag myself out of bed and to the toilet before I wet myself, let alone performing such a complex task as buying travel insurance or asessing the pros and cons of one backpack against another. It's all so tedious! Anyway, apart from pants and that, I've really not got the faintest idea of what to pack. I suppose some sandwiches might be a good start.
